The game recreates the daily atmosphere of a Northern Vietnamese village — peaceful on the surface, but filled with haunting mysteries and strange occurrences.

Players are drawn into a story that feels both familiar and chilling, where every sound — from a knife chopping to a fan spinning or the smell of pho — might signal an eerie event about to unfold.

Storyline: Mystery in Dan Phuong Village

You play as Brother Hai, the owner of a newly opened pho shop in what appears to be a quiet village located in Dan Phuong District, Hanoi. At first, your daily routine revolves around cooking pho, serving villagers, and keeping your shop open.

But as time goes on, strange phenomena and repressed memories start to resurface. To survive and keep the restaurant running, Brother Hai must face the dark mysteries surrounding both the village and his own past.

Running the Pho Shop

Search for clues inside houses, markets, and nearby forests. Be careful — not every light in the darkness is something you should follow. The game offers four different endings, depending on the player’s choices throughout the story.

Brother Hai’s Pho Restaurant is an indie survival horror simulation game developed by marisa0704. It originated as his graduation project at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Set in Hanoi, the story follows Brother Hai, a humble pho shop owner living in an isolated village. When strange spiritual events begin to unfold, his ordinary life turns into a nightmare. The game received wide attention and positive reviews both locally and internationally, quickly becoming a viral topic across social media platforms.
